Introduction

DIVERLEX is a collective founded in 2003 by professionals and students in the areas of law and social sciences dedicated to the research and training in matters of sexual diversity and advocacy.

Who

Tamara Adrián is the founder and head of the organisation. Tamara is a lawyer, law professor, social researcher and MP to the National Assembly of Venezuela. She is a trans woman, who identifies as a lesbian.

DIVERLEX aims and objectives

The strategic directions of DIVERLEX:

DIVERLEX bases their work in research, advocacy and strategic litigation. Due to the complex humanitarian crisis affecting Venezuela since 2014, almost all of the founders of the organisation are now abroad. They are contributing to the analysis and improvement of living conditions of LGBT people living in exile.
