Introduction

IBRAT aims to enhance the lives of trans men and transmasculine people in Brazil by promoting awareness of citizenship rights, improving access to healthcare and organising support groups.

Who

IBRAT is a national network of male trans activists. It operates in the fields of political education, studies and research on transmasculinities and social control.

Vision

IBRAT’s mission is to promote quality of life for trans people in Brazil, through collectivity, transparency and unity. Working ethically, creatively and in balance with the reality and multiplicity of the segment.

IBRAT’s aims and objectives

The strategic directions of IBRAT:

  • Political training and incentives for activists;
  • Development and encouragement of research on transmasculinities;
  • Social control and activism for public rights and policies.
