Introduction

MOLI was founded in 2010 with an aim to build African communities free from discrimination in Burundi, Rwanda, Congo, and DR Congo.

Who

The Mouvement pour les Libertés Individuelles (Movement for Individual Freedoms; MOLI) is based in Burundi. It was created in May 2010 to achieve justice and equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersexual people.

Vision

Mouvement pour les Libertés Individuelles’ (MOLI) vision is an African society where marginalised people live their sexuality freely and fully enjoy the same human rights as everyone else.

MOLI’s aims and objectives

MOLI advocates for more inclusive African societies through its work with national, regional and international stakeholders to change laws and policies, and through the support they offer to local communities.
