WE envision a world where the rights of every woman are respected and treated as full human beings.

Women’s Empowerment for change’s advocacy is guided by the political ideology of intersectional feminism with the objective of bringing attention to societal issues that impact the quality of life of women across Jamaica.

WE’s aims and objectives

The work WE do:

  • Social and Economic Justice Training for LBQ women
  • Abortion Rights Advocacy
  • Healing and Support Services for LBQ women who are survivors of sexual trauma
  • Advocate for Legislative Reform
  • Create safe and alternative spaces for LBQ women
  • Use social media as a method for social justice advocacy and public education on LBQ women’s issues
  • Community-based research to evidence our advocacy
